Sophie Tebbs - Rise Art

I’m Sophie Tebbs (aka Soppy Tree), an artist and printmaker living in Cornwall.

I work in a shared studio where I live, using an old pasta machine as a press and reclaimed wallpaper to print on. I largely make monotypes, wiping away ink with a rag to create the images.

I have been lucky enough to have lived more closely with the outside world over the last few seasons, and the deepening relationships that I’ve found with the land, creatures and people around me have moved me to make prints about this life. I love playing with light, movement, texture and a sense of memory within my work.
